Terms of use

These Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter the «Terms of Use») govern the relationship between Group-IB Global Private Limited («Group-IB») and any person (the «User») accessing (using) the website www.group-ib.com (the «Website»).

By using the Website in any way, Users confirm that they have read and accept all the Terms of Use.


1. General provisions

1.1. Group-IB is the Website administrator.

1.2. In accordance with these Terms of Use, Group-IB provides access to the Website and Users use the Website within the limits established by these Terms of Use.

1.3. Group-IB has the right to change the Terms of Use unilaterally at its own discretion and without giving Users any notice. The valid version of the Terms of Use is posted on the Website.

2. Intellectual property

2.1. Group-IB is the owner of exclusive rights and rights of use regarding the Website in general as well as any results of intellectual activity posted on the Website. Results of intellectual activity include: texts (including research reports), press releases, various publications, other texts, photographs, diagrams, graphics (including graphic drawings), images (including logos), software (including source and object code), videos, audio recordings, any copyrighted objects, databases, trademarks and service marks, the location of the listed objects, the Website design (including appearance, color scheme, and structure), as well as these Terms of Use and any other objects (the "Content").

2.2. Users undertake to respect Group-IB’s rights to the Content and refrain from any actions that, directly or indirectly, violate Group-IB rights to the Content or contribute to third parties violating any such rights.

2.3. Users agree to refrain from any action that could be considered as a violation of Singapore law and/or international law.

2.4. Users undertake not to use Group-IB’s Content in contextual advertising in search engines if such usage could lead to Group-IB’s exclusive rights being violated.

2.5. If a User violates Group-IB’s rights to the Content, Group-IB will have the right to initiate court proceedings against the violator as part of a pre-trial settlement of the dispute and request that the violator eliminates the violation, reimburses losses, and pays the fine specified in these Terms of Use. In such cases, Group-IB will also have the right to apply for the protection of its rights and interests in court and other state bodies in order to enforce the User’s liabilities provided for by law, including the recovery of compensation.

3. Use of the Website

3.1. Group-IB grants Users the right to use the Website Content anywhere in the world, including by reviewing Content and quoting articles, analytical materials, reports, and other types of literary works posted on the Website, to the extent justified by the legitimate purpose of quoting. In such cases, links to the Website must be indicated as sources and authors and copyright holders must be clearly mentioned. When quoting Content, Users will be governed by Article 10 of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (as amended on September 28, 1979) and Articles 35-37 of the Copyright Act of Singapore.

3.2. Users are prohibited from:

  • using the Content by any means not listed in clause 3.1 of the Terms of Use, including by making any changes to the Content and using the Content without the written consent of Group-IB and/or other copyright holders;
  • quoting the Content in a manner and for purposes contrary to Article 10 of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and Articles 35-37 of the Copyright Act of Singapore, including non-compliance with quoting volumes;
  • creating phishing and other fraudulent resources using Group-IB Content and/or referring to an alleged partnership with Group-IB, and creating resources that are deceptively similar to the Website and/or the Content;
  • taking any action aimed at slowing down or hindering the Website’s functioning and changing or otherwise using the Website source code;
  • using the "Report an Incident" form (the "Incident Report Form") and other forms that require Users to enter data for a purpose not specified by Group-IB, including sending spam and advertising;
  • using personal data belonging to third parties and commissioning action aimed at impersonating another User;
  • taking any action that contradicts these Terms of Use and/or Singapore law.

3.3. As the Website administrator, Group-IB has the right to terminate or restrict access to the Website for a particular User without providing a reason.

4. Group-IB Reports

4.1. Any research, including Group-IB reports, posted on the Website is subject to copyright, relates to the Website Content, and is protected by intellectual property law(the "Report(s)").

4.2. Users are prohibited from copying, distributing in whole or in part (including by copying to other websites and online resources), and using information from Reports in any way without Group-IB’s prior written consent. If a User violates Group-IB’s intellectual rights to the Reports, Group-IB will have the right to initiate a pre-trial dispute settlement procedure, as specified in clause 10.4 of the Terms of Use. If a dispute cannot be resolved out of court, Group-IB will have the right to apply for the protection of its rights and interests in court and/or other state competent bodies, enforcing the User’s liabilities in accordance with the law.

4.3. Group-IB informs Users that Group-IB’s Reports are meant for an international readership and are not intended to cause any harm to anyone’s honor, dignity, or business reputation. Reports are provided for informational purposes only.

4.4. In order to comply with legislation on personal data, all personal data used in Reports, including names and any other information relating to a directly or indirectly identified or identifiable individual, are either fictitious or Group-IB has obtained the individual’s consent to disclose the personal data.

4.5. The conclusions contained in Reports are made by Group-IB specialists after analyzing information obtained from open sources. Any conclusions in no way represent official positions of competent bodies (including law enforcement agencies of any jurisdiction) and are not recognized as evidence in court and other cases considered by government bodies.

5. Incident reports

5.1. The Website contains the Incident Report Form, which allows Users to report information security incidents to Group-IB’s 24/7 Incident Response Center.

5.2. To report an incident, Users must fill out the Incident Report Form found on the Website. After filling in all the fields, Users send the form by clicking on the "Contact me"/"Send" button.

5.3. After sending the Incident Report Form, Users will receive an acknowledgement of receipt including a registration number at the User’s email address specified in the Incident Report Form. User messages are processed in order of precedence.

5.4. By using the Incident Report Form (sending data), Users confirm that they have read and agree with the terms of Group-IB’s Privacy and Cookies Policy and these Terms of Use. Our Privacy and Cookies Policy can be found at the following link: https://www.group-ib.com/policy.html

5.5. When using the Incident Report Form, Users undertake to provide relevant and true information only.

6. Request for services and information

6.1. The Website contains forms enabling Users to request information, including: book a consultation, order a service, and request a "demo"/"order a free trial" (a trial version of Group-IB’s software).

6.2. By using such forms, Users confirm that they have read and agree to the terms of Group-IB’s Privacy and Cookies Policy and these Terms of Use.

7. News subscription (mailings)

7.1. The footer of the Website contains an option to subscribe to information and marketing mailings. Group-IB is the owner of all information shared.

7.2. By entering an email address in the relevant form and clicking the «Subscribe» button, Users agree to receive information, news, and advertising from Group-IB at the email address specified.

7.3. Users have the right to unsubscribe at any time. This option is provided in every message sent by Group-IB to the User’s email.

7.4. As the Website administrator, Group-IB has the right to cancel any User’s subscription or to refuse subscription to any User without providing a reason.

8. External links

8.1. The Website may contain links to resources belonging to third parties.

8.2. Group-IB cannot be held responsible or liable for the User’s visit and use of external resources referred to on the Website.

9. Warranties and representations

9.1. Access to the Website is provided to Users «as is».

9.2. Group-IB cannot guarantee that:

  • the Website do not contain software errors, will work without interruptions, is compatible with the User’s devices, and will be displayed correctly on such devices;
  • the Website and its pages will be available to Users at all times;
  • the Website contains complete, comprehensive, accurate, and error-free references, news, and analysis materials;
  • the Website does not contain information to which access is prohibited or restricted in the country where the User is located;
  • the Website does not contain information that is incorrect or offensive in the User’s opinion.

9.3. Group-IB carefully checks all links to third-party resources posted on the Website. Group-IB cannot guarantee, however, that third parties will not be able to illegally use the Website to harm Users.

10. Responsibility

10.1. Group-IB cannot be held responsible or liable for any breach of obligations under these Terms of Use and for the recovery of losses incurred as a result of using the Website (in whole and in part), except in cases of Group-IB’s direct intent.

10.2. Users will be held responsible and liable for violating these Terms of Use (in full or in part) and Group-IB’s intellectual and other rights, in all respects and in accordance with Singapore law.

10.3. Group-IB cannot be held responsible or liable for and will not compensate Users for any losses incurred or to be incurred due to delays, interruptions in work, and inability to use the Website.

10.4. For each violation of these Terms of Use, including violation of provisions 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.2, 4.2, or other non-performance or improper performance of obligations under these Terms of Use, Users undertake to pay Group-IB a fine of USD 2,000 (two thousand) on the basis of a written claim from Group-IB. The violator undertakes to provide a written reasoned response to the claim within 15 (fifteen) calendar days from the date of its receipt. If Group-IB does not receive a response to the claim within the specified period, the User will be deemed to agree with the violation and the requirements stated in the claim and will pay the fine.

11. Confidentiality

11.1. Messages sent by Users through Website forms (Incident Report Form, Newsletter Subscription Form, Information/Services Forms) or sent to Group-IB’s email address are confidential information and their content cannot be disclosed by Group-IB, except in cases when:

  • the User who sent the message asked personally in writing to disclose the message content to a third party or the general public;
  • disclosing the message content is required by a government body, within the limits allowed in accordance with applicable law;
  • access to the message content is provided to technical support and maintenance service providers provided that a confidentiality agreement has been concluded with them.

11.2. Group-IB uses information about User actions solely to improve the Website’s operation.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

12.1. These Terms of Use and any relations between the Parties arising from the use of the Website are governed by Singapore law.

12.2. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising from or in connection with these Terms of Use, including any questions regarding its existence, validity, or termination, will be referred to and ultimately resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC Rules”) for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in this clause. The seat of the arbitration is Singapore. The Tribunal consists of 1 (one) arbitrator. The language used in any arbitral proceedings will be English.
